Join us for our WSET Level 2 course.  This is a beginner- to intermediate-level qualification. Great for wine enthusiasts seeking to deepen their knowledge or wine professionals.

You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and you’ll learn how to describe these wines with confidence.

We taste about 50 wines throughout the entire course (3 days).  All students who pass successfully will receive a certificate and a lapel pin.

The WSET Level 2 Award in wines is a beginner to intermediate level qualification for those working in the industry or for wine and spirit enthusiasts seeking to deepen their knowledge.

What you’ll learn

You will explore the major grape varieties, wine regions, wine styles, classification and labeling terminology. Also, the key factors affecting the influence of wine, basic principles of food and wine pairing and how to describe wine using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT).

Entry Requirements

There are no requirements for this qualification, but the student must have a legal drinking age in order to participate in the wine tasting. About 50 wines and 4 spirits are tasted during the course.

Price includes the WSET Level 2 study guide, all wines, tuition, printed materials, exam, certificate and lapel pin (if you pass the examination).

For all WSET qualifications, we provide students with RIEDEL or ISO tasting glasses to use during class at no additional charge.


Courses are offered in person. This level has a minimum requirement of 16 guided hours of study time, in classroom or online.

After class, each student will take a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 60 minutes. A total mark of 55% is required to achieve a pass. All students who pass will be issued with a certificate and will receive a lapel pin.

WSET Students Cancellations/Refunds

WSET Students will receive a full refund 30 days before the day of the course. We will charge a $150 processing fee.

Making changes to your reservation within 21 days of the start day of the course will result in a fee of 25% of the cost of the course.

Students have no refunds 14 days before the day of the course or after a program has begun. If you need to be transferred to a future program, you must submit a request 14 days prior to the course and a $150 transfer fee will be collected to confirm the transfer.
